Phoning the surgery

Many problems may be resolved by telephone. The practice nurses are available to offer advice, since it is not always possible to speak to the doctor. If you wish to speak to a doctor, please telephone our reception team as early as possible in the morning. Reception staff  will take

  • Your name
  • Your number
  • Brief reason for your phone call and if it is urgent.

Your name will be added to the Telephone list .  Doctors will triage  all phone calls  received and contact patients through the course of the same day.

Non urgent calls received after 2pm will be added to the following day telephone list.

The reception staff assist in the efficient day to day running of the practice and support the services we provide. When you telephone the surgery the receptionist may ask you a few questions. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that we can help you in the most appropriate way. Strict confidentiality is maintained by all staff. Reception staff are here to help but their job is very demanding and are often very busy, so please be patient.
